General anesthesia and surgery is often something pets will go through at least once in their life whether it is for an elective procedure like a spay, neuter, or dental surgery—or a life saving procedure.
At City Limits Vet Clinic, we take anesthetic procedures very seriously. There are no cookie-cutter protocols here, each of our patients have an anesthetic plan tailored to their specific needs. Our two surgical suites are outfitted with the state-of-the-art monitoring equipment where a dedicated nurse will track your pets heart rate and rhythm, respirations, temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and plane of anesthesia.
You will be called while your pet is recovering with an update on how the surgery went, a plan on how we will keep your pet comfortable, and to set up a time for your pet to be picked up or transferred. Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to remember everything we say on the phone call. When you pick up your pet, you will be given a set of discharge instructions that will go over your pet’s medications and common post-surgical expectations as well as complications to monitor for.
