About Dr. Chris Faggioni
Dr. Faggioni grew up in Atlanta, the son of a dentist. It was at an early age that he became interested in science, biology, and the nature of things. His house was always full of a variety of animals from the typical dogs and cats, to snakes, lizards, sugar gliders, and even a squirrel named George.
After graduating from high school, he worked various jobs before enrolling at the University of Georgia in Athens. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Ecology. After graduation, he worked in a vintage Vespa shop rebuilding scooters before enrolling in veterinary school at the University of Georgia. Upon graduating veterinary school Cum Laude in 2006, he completed a rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC where he stayed on as a staff doctor for 7 years. The experience of working at a large multi-speciality emergency hospital in the nation’s capital helped build a foundation for Dr. Faggioni’s career that serves him to this day. While in Washington, DC he met his future wife, an Austin native, and he made the smart decision to move west to Austin and set up roots in Texas. He worked at a busy east Austin small animal practice for 7 years before starting City Limits Vet Clinic with Dr. Horsley. Dr. Faggioni has many professional interests such as ultrasonography, dentistry, internal medicine, and wound management. He also loves geriatric kitties. In his spare time, Dr. Faggioni enjoys being a bit of a jack-of-all-trades— with cooking and carpentry as his current interests. He also enjoys staying fit so he can chase around his young family; this includes running, cycling, wishing he could still play ultimate Frisbee, and playing the occasional round of golf. |
